The outdoors and beer go together like movies and popcorn: they’re great by themselves, but best enjoyed together. As a day hiker, I rarely get the urge to lug along summit beer. But I’ve come up with a great solution: Pick a day hike, and then find a local brewery to visit afterward. Few things beat a post-hike recovery beer (and sandwich), and it’s a great way explore local offerings — both natural and drinkable.
