My brother called me when he was packing for his trip to Alaska.
Will: Can I bring up anything?
Will: Have any specific beers you want?
Me: Surprise me!
As you can see, he brought me some good ones: Bridgeport Hop Harvest, Hop Valley Double D Blonde, and Oakshire’s Ill Tempered Gnome. Not pictured are Ninkasi’s Sleigher and Laguntias’s Hop Stoopid; as usual we popped the tops before we could snap a picture.
Our post-Thanksgiving recovery evening has started with the Bridgeport Hop Harvest. I’ve really enjoyed the recent brew trend of combining different styles of beer. Wet hops are usually saved for IPAs, the hop king of beer styles; using them in a pilsner instead sounded really interesting. In reality, it might not have been the best idea.
