39 Weeks

She’s probably able to flex her limbs now.

Her brain is still rapidly developing — she’s getting smarter by the week!  (Trying to eat salmon!)

Her nails may extend past her fingertips.

From Jessyka:  Let’s get this show on the road!  After a couple pretty severe contractions last night, we got a little excited that things might be on their way.  On our walk to the birth center this morning, Jonah and talked about how I must be 100% effaced and wondered how dilated I was.  We met with Barbara, the last midwife we hadn’t met.  When the time came to check how advanced I was, there was no luck.  Harper had moved her head out of my pelvis which made the measurements very hard.  So disappointing!  How do we remedy this and get back on track?  Barbara suggested to wrap an Ace Bandage around my stomach to decrease her space.  So here I am, blogging and watching Downton Abbey, all wrapped up.

Good news?  We found out that she’s about 8 pounds at this point and is very long.  Pretty exciting!
