Week 28

Putting on layers of fat, your baby now weighs in around 1.5 to 2.5 pounds and measures about 13.6 to 14.8 inches.

She’s starting to develop more fat, so her wrinkly skin will start to get smoother.

Her lungs are mature enough that she’d probably survive if she was born now. Wow!

From Jessyka:  The fruit/ vegetable comparison is really losing credibility with me.  We bought 2 eggplants from the store yesterday and neither of them were 13.6 to 14.8 inches.  I know we live in Cordova and don’t get the freshest product, but have you ever seen an eggplant that large?

We’ve been keeping busy in the rain; smoked a lot of fish and worked hard on my homework for sweater knitting class (photos on this soon).  The sun burst through the clouds and the temperatures got up to 60* yesterday!  After I satisfied my craving for tacos and Jonah took a run out to the burn pile, we leisurely walked around town, soaking in the sun.

I take off for Portland tomorrow!  For some of you, I’ll see you soon!
